Saturday, March 17, 2018, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
There’s a world of difference between expectations and expectancy. When we have expectations, we tend to limit ourselves to specific hopes or desires. But when we embrace expectancy, we tap into a deeper, richer, more open atmosphere that has a quality beyond anything we can ask or imagine! This meditative writing retreat is an opportunity to “entertain expectancy” and see where it leads you.
Meditative Writing Retreats
In the midst of our often overly-busy lives, we all need time and space to reconnect with our deepest selves. Doing so enables us to live our lives more creatively, compassionately and wholeheartedly.
In these retreats, we will engage in meditative writing practice as a means of exploring and celebrating the wisdom that is available within and around us. The beauty of this spiritual practice is that anyone can engage in it. One does not need to be a “writer” to benefit from this method.
Since symbolic language is used throughout the retreat to aid participants in the process of being present to their own lives in the moment, people from any or no particular faith background may feel encouraged in their journey.
The retreats are offered in a supportive, meditative atmosphere which honors the privacy, uniqueness, and significance of each person’s journey.
All retreats take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey. Please plan to arrive at least ten minutes early to check in.
Lunch is included in the $55.00 offering per retreat. To register, please call 505-873-4399, or email your name & the name of the retreat you wish to attend to: RSVP@norbertinecommunity.org
