Are you called to live a life radically centered on Jesus Christ & prophetically counter-cultural?

We are men of an ancient Roman Catholic order faithful to the Holy Father and the Magisterium, living a life seeking the renewal and salvation of the world.

We are the newest canonry (self-governing community) in the world-wide Norbertine Order!

We are the newest canonry (self-governing community) in the world-wide Norbertine Order! We celebrated independence on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 2011. Click here for more information on our independence.

We are a 900 year old Roman Catholic religious order of priests and brothers living a simple communal life according to the Rule of St. Augustine, in fidelity with the magisterium and Holy Father, serving the local Church of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Over 400 years after the Roman Catholic Faith was brought to New Mexico we as Norbertines, Canons Regular of Premontre, are planting the seeds of our ancient tradition to live a life of community, contemplation and compassionate service with the people of God in the southwest.

In every age there are a few men who are chosen to serve God in a special way.

Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, "You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to (the) poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." (Mark 10:21)

There are a few men who are chosen to live close to God in a way only the celibate can know. And in that special relationship with God, they live together, pray together, and work together. They try to live as the early Christians did.

All the believers kept meeting together, and they shared everything with each other. They sold their property and other possessions and distributed the money to those who needed it. The believers had a single purpose and went to the temple every day. They were joyful and with simpleness of heart,  they ate at each other's homes and shared their food. (Acts 2:44-46 )

We minister to a world in need of salvation and a renewal of spirit.

If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from him:Whoever loves God must also love his brother.(1 John 4:20-21)

We are a religious community that knows that it is inwardly rooted in Christ and outwardly sent to serve others.

"The whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul...Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their numbers those who were being saved" (Acts 4:32;2:46-47)
