Our campus master plan calls for all the new structures on the property to follow sustainable design principles:
- Respect
- Receive
- Reduce
- Reuse
- Recycle
- Restore
- Remember
These seven “R’s” are the criteria used to evaluate all aspects of the building design and construction process. In addition, each building is designed to evoke the unique spirituality of the particular place where the building will reside. Of course, even if all the technical requirements are in place, the place is nothing if it is not beautiful. The humble beauty of all that we create on this land is our gift to God. The buildings, landscape, and site design are part of a comprehensive abbey plan that we shall continually implement as our community grows.
Our Norbertine Family continues to grow as new individuals are drawn to our unique way of life. Our community is also blessed with the growing international presence of our fellow confreres from the Norbertine Abbey of Mananthavady in India.
