Meditative Writing
Retreats

A series of six day-long retreats in LifeProcess awareness, two in the Fall of 2008 and four in the Spring of 2009, is designed to complement, deepen, and extend the presentations of the Year of Dedication of The Norbertine Library. These offerings include reflection, spiritual conservation, meditative writing and lunch.  Some retreatants experience this work as a new kind of group spiritual direction.

ENVISIONING PEACE IN VIOLENT TIMES: FOLLOWING THE WAY OF THE PROHPETS
Through the depth of their experience and vision, the prophets are often a step or two ahead of their times.  We will spend this day of meditative writing walking in their footsteps with the help of Ira Progoff’s Star/Cross cycle of meditations.  This retreat day includes reflection, spiritual conversation, meditative writing and lunch.

LIVING CREATIVELY IN A BROKEN WORLD: THE SPIRITUAL CHALLENGE OF OUR TIMES
We will spend this retreat day of LifeProcess awareness exploring the shape of the creative journey from suffering to service in light of its destructive opposite.  The day will include meditative conferences, time for reflection and the quality of your own lived experience, and spiritual conversation.
